چکیده

Background: One of the crucial aspects ascending aorta replacement is to achieve hemostasis proximal anastomosis. This study aimed describe a modified prosthesis eversion technique for anastomosis in and compare its operative outcomes with conventional technique.

A technique for complete replacement of the ascending aorta.

A technique for complete replacement of the aortic valve and ascending aorta in cases of aneurysm of the ascending aorta with aortic valve ectasia is described. The proximal aortic root was too attenuated to afford anchorage to the aortic prosthesis, so this was sutured to the ring of a Starr valve and the prostheses were inserted en bloc. The ostia of the coronary arteries were anastomosed to ...

Sutureless technique to support anastomosis during thoracic aorta replacement

BACKGROUND In aortic replacement procedures the aortic wall and Teflon strips form a double layer, with the use of continuous sutures. Surgical glues may or may not be used to enhance the durability of the anastomoses. In this technical report a modification of the aortic stumps preparation is devised. The technique reduces substantially the preparation time of the aortic stumps by the use of li...

Neonatal ascending aorta thrombosis: A case report

Thrombotic events are very unusual in neonatal period. This congenital anomaly may be caused by certain risk factors such as polycythemia, perinatal asphyxia, septicemia, maternal diabetes, dehydration, and low cardiac output, or it may occur upon catheterization of central lines. A 20-day-old neonate was referred to our ward with primary signs of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCMP). Echocardiog...

Dikmengil Technique for Proximal Anastomosis of Saphenous Vein to Aorta Using Hegar Dilator Without Clamping

Manipulation of aorta, such as side clamping of the ascending aorta, is known as a possible cause of the increased incidence of perioperative cerebrovascular accidents during myocardial revascularization. We describe an easy and cheap alternative technique for proximal anastomosis of saphenous vein to aorta using a Hegar dilator without clamping in off-pump coronary artery bypass procedures. IN...
